The Saskatchewan Gathering System (SGS) carries blended crude and condensate between thermal plants in Saskatchewan and upgrading and refining facilities in the Lloydminster region, as well as Hardisty.
Husky Midstream, working with its customers, has plans to expand the existing SGS� in phases, with the final work expected to be completed in 2023.
The current phase of expansion includes connecting to eight new thermal facilities, line upgrades and extensions, and enhanced safety measures at river crossings. Once complete, the current phase will add 80,000 bbls/day of crude transportation capacity.
These phased expansions demonstrate Husky Midstream’s commitment to the west-central region of Saskatchewan, and to providing customers with a safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation solution.
